Dr. Femi Giwa is a graduate of the College of Medicine of the Lagos State University, having completed his medical electives in OB/GYN at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital / University of Ghana Medical School.
He started his post-graduate medical career at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) where he was a House Physician & Surgeon.
Femi holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Additionally, he is a surgical outcomes researcher and has been published in the American Journal of Surgery.
Following his MBA, he transitioned to a career on Wall Street, starting in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) investment banking group of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York and later joining Goldman Sachs, where he was a Vice President in the healthcare investment banking group in the New York global headquarters office.
He brings to Balufon qualitative experience as a physician, clinical researcher, Deloitte strategy consultant and investment banker.
Femi oversees Balufon’s opportunity sourcing and origination ideas, valuation, diligence, acquisition financing and portfolio operations.
